My Week with Marilyn (Simon Curtis, 2011). Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe, Kenneth Branagh (come one–of course!) as Laurence Olivier. All well and good, think what you like of the movie. But it may be time to really freak out about digital films and digital projection, because for a story that is in part about the lushness of a movie star on film, this picture presents very flat images and washed-out lighting. Making the basic idea, you know, something of an uphill battle. (full review 11/23)
And at What a Feeling!, the Eighties movie currently on offer is Apartment Zero, in which Colin Firth and Hart Bochner share a room with a view.
