Movie Diary 5/9/2012

In a Lonely Place (Nicholas Ray, 1950). An almost bruising film about a volatile writer (Humphrey Bogart) skipping ahead of murder suspicions and making contact with the woman (Gloria Grahame) who lives across the courtyard. And they really do make contact, in Ray’s charged account.

At What a Feeling!, a vintage appreciation of an early entry in the Meathead canon, The Sure Thing.
