The Master (Paul Thomas Anderson, 2012). Managed to see this during the last day of its run in 70 mm. at Seattle’s Cinerama. It opened while I was out of town, and I haven’t reviewed it, and boy, is that a relief. Watching it is a compelling experience, but either there is something significantly undigested about the movie, or I have yet to digest it.
At What a Feeling!, throw back to the 1980s and a review of Pat O’Connor’s The January Man, scripted by John Patrick Shanley (then hot after Moonstruck) and destined for near-instant oblivion.
