How to Survive a Plague (David French, 2012). Documentary account of the fierce, in-your-face efforts of ACT UP to agitate for AIDS action in the 1980s and early 90s. Along with the film’s value at bringing this era back to light, it’s a reminder of how documentaries of the post-1980 world will benefit from the fact that everybody was videotaping everything all the time.
