A Serious Man (Joel and Ethan Coen, 2009). Outside Minneapolis, summer of 1967, a man stands on his roof fixing the TV antenna and hears the Jefferson Airplane’s “Comin’ Back to Me” wafting over the neighborhood backyards; a woman is sunbathing in hers. This is a movie. (full review 10/9)
