Movie Diary 5/11/2011

Le Quattro Volte (Michelangelo Frammartino, 2010). Staring at goats: it’s not just for secret government programs anymore. This movie contains a few of the most amazing sequences you will see this year. (full review 5/13)

Everything Must Go (Dan Rush, 2011). Will Ferrell toning it down in a movie with a single image taken from a very short Raymond Carver story: a man banished, along with the detritus of his existence, on his own front lawn. (full review 5/13)

Zulu (Cy Endfield, 1964). Unseen since the age of sixteen or so – and it still holds up, but definitely try to see it when you’re sixteen.

At What a Feeling!, we are well into John Hughesville: Ferris Bueller’s Day Off up now.
