Movie Diary 4/3/2012

Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (Nuri Bilge Ceylan, 2011). A fascinating piece from the Turkish director who seems to be turning into one of the world’s front-line filmmakers. An apple falls from a tree and rolls into a creekbed, and you can almost feel the world turning. (full review 4/6)

American Reunion (Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, 2012). And, sex jokes from the warm-pastry crew. Thank god for Stifler. (full review 4/6)

At What a Feeling!, consider the ultimate solution of Grace Quigley, a misbegotten pairing of Katharine Hepburn and Nick Nolte.
