Movie Diary 10/2/2012

Argo (Ben Affleck, 2012). A little-known incident from the time of the Iranian hostage crisis, orchestrated under Affleck’s extremely serious directing eye. It would probably be tough to screw this up, and Affleck doesn’t. (full review 10/12)

Taken 2 (Olivier Megaton, 2012). Luc Besson takes up Liam Neeson again, and while the returns are already diminishing, the movie still has some Bessonian action concepts that work out fine. (full review 10/5)

The Oranges (Julian Farino, 2011). High Laurie leads a decent cast of actors in one of those movies that might have been made, or might not, it doesn’t really matter either way. (full review 10/5)
