Movie Diary 12/10/2012

A Late Quartet (Yaron Zilberman, 2012); Quartet (Dustin Hoffman, 2012). Just a coincidence. A great many respected actors collected in these two movies, sawing away to little avail.

Deadfall (Stefan Ruzowitzky, 2012). An after-heist getaway movie, set mostly during a blizzard in the north country. If you needed a frisky showcase for Eric Bana, this will serve very nicely, although most of what happens outside Bana is unconvincing. (full review 12/14)

At What a Feeling!, we roll out more 1980s reviews by going to Richard Pearce’s No Mercy, a DOA thriller with Richard Gere and Kim Basinger.
