Guns, Disappear (Weekly Links)

Tilikum, an unhappy killer whale: Blackfish

Tilikum, an unhappy killer whale: Blackfish

Links to reviews I wrote this week for the Herald and Seattle Weekly, and etc.

2 Guns. “Bullet-riddled bromance with a distinctly ’80s tang.”

Blackfish. “The case is closed.”

The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear. “Life goes on in timeworn ways despite the realities of digital cameras and Van Damme pictures.”

On KUOW’s “Weekday,” I talk with Marcie Sillman about the cinema of rain, and what I’ve been doing for the last month. The talk is archived here.

The Museum of History and Industry launches its outdoor movie series Saturday night with a screening of Cameron Crowe’s Singles, which will begin around 9 p.m. The series of films shot in Seattle is offered in conjunction with “Celluloid Seattle,” the exhibit I curated for MOHAI; I’ll pop up to introduce the film this week.
