Movie Diary 12/12/2013

The Wolf of Wall Street (Martin Scorsese, 2013). Long, busy, DiCaprio all nutso, and a director solidly in his career wheelhouse. Maybe too much in his wheelhouse? I reserve the right to at least sleep on that one. One undisputed masterpiece here: a dialogue scene in the first ten minutes between DiCaprio’s Wall St. newbie and Matthew McConaughey’s king-shit stockbroker. (full review 12/25)
