Movie Diary 1/22/2014

Gimme Shelter (Ronald Krauss, 2013). Vanessa Hudgens does well in an unwed-mother drama of the streets. Bibles are thumped, abortion discouraged. (full review 1/24)

Anna Boleyn (Ernst Lubitsch, 1920). Emil Jannings and Henny Porten as the king and his bride. Well, one of them. Some puckish touches within the court intrigue.

El Topo (Alejandro Jodorowsky, 1970). This movie’s still nuts.
