Movie Diary 3/12/2014

Need for Speed (Scott Waugh, 2014). This is a better dumb movie than you think it is. Although it is dumb – and irresponsible, and laughable. I am curious about one aspect: Michael Keaton plays a man (a rich man, I guess) who exists only in his radio studio/internet broadcasting chamber and talks about car races; he also sponsors one super-secret illegal race. This fella must have one incredible backstory. We will never know what it is. I hate the title. (full review 3/14)
