Movie Diary 6/12/2014

The Rover (David Michôd, 2014). This is a pretty good year for movies, isn’t it? Not talking about a huge tally of great ones, just a large number of strong to at-least-very-intriguing titles thus far. The follow-up film from the director of Animal Kingdom is one of the strong ones, with Guy Pearce and Robert Pattinson as two men slogging through a very flinty Australian desert. (full review 6/20)

  1. Although I haven’t seen “The Rover” yet, Michod’s “Animal Kingdom” was my fav film of its respective year. And yes, a strong year for film already with “The Grand Budapest Hotel”, “The Immigrant”, “Chef” and “Under the Skin” being highlights.
