Appropriate Behavior (Desiree Akhavan, 2014). This tiny item is up for Best First Screenplay in the Independent Spirit Awards, and to its credit, it actually looks like an independent film. Paddington (Paul King, 2014). The origin story of the celebrated bear, who speaks in the voice of Ben Whisaw. Pretty fun movie, and British enough that UK-centric references (“Elevenses”) aren’t explained. (full review 1/16)
