Movie Diary 11/11/2015

Entertainment (Rick Alverson, 2015). Gregg Turkington brings his Neil Hamburger persona – sweaty old-school stand-up comedian with a bad comb-over and repellent jokes – to a miserabilist indie much in the vein of Alverson’s The Comedy. Some of it is excruciating, but the film knows what it’s doing. (full review 11/20)
