Movie Diary 11/18/2015

The Danish Girl (Tom Hooper, 2015). Have to warn you all right now that this film has nothing to do with pastries. Last year’s Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne plays a 1920s-era Copenhagen painter convinced of having been born with the wrong gender. Alicia Vikander plays a confused but sympathetic wife, herself a painter. Truly, this is the kind of film you’d expect from Tom Hooper. (full review 12/18)
