Movie Diary 3/9/2016

Eye in the Sky (Gavin Hood, 2015). A useful idea for a film: Track a drone strike – a joint UK-US effort – through the perspectives of a half-dozen or so involved locations, most of them far, far from the target. The results are not what you’d call subtle, even if they are frequently effective. Good cast, and it’s Alan Rickman’s last “live action” movie. (full review 3/18)
