Movie Diary 3/21/2016

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (Kirk Jones, 2016). Nia Vardalos has decided to make this sequel a bunch of jokes about Greek-American culture. If you can stand that radical re-envisioning of the original film, then perhaps it will be for you. (full review 3/25)

Remember (Atom Egoyan, 2015). Christopher Plummer is an Auschwitz survivor, now suffering from memory loss, who goes on a journey to find and kill a surviving SS guard. Still a little hard to get a hold of Egoyan’s embrace of melodrama, but Plummer is in excellent form. (full review 4/1)
