Movie Diary 11/1/2017

A  Bad Moms Christmas (Jon Lucas, Scott Moore, 2017). Aside from unleashing Kathryn Hahn in a few choice exchanges, this one is as bad as the first. The premise adds the mothers of the main characters, thus employing Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines, Susan Sarandon, and Mel Gibson. Wait, no – Gibson’s in the similarly-conceived Daddy’s Home 2, although if Mel Gibson had played one of the mothers in this movie, it might have lit a fire under the thing. Please stop making these.
