Jumanji: The Next Level (Jake Kasdan, 2019). The 2017 movie generated some fun. This one replaces a stampeding herd of rhinos with a stampeding herd of ostriches, which makes you wonder if some level of self-parody has deepened. (full review 12/12)

Bombshell (Jay Roach, 2019). Some FOX “News” intrigue, specifically around the sexual-harassment case against Roger Ailes. Nothing is quite lethal enough here; a movie in which you sort of end up rooting for Megyn Kelly has problems. (full review 12/19)
