Movie Diary 4/17/2012

The Lady from Shanghai (Orson Welles, 1947). At some point you realize this movie isn’t building to a bravura sequence in a funhouse; the whole thing is a distorted sequence in a funhouse. And what a strange, syncopated rhythm it finds along the way, a true original in every sense.

At What a Feeling!, the body swap comedy craze hits a bump with Like Father, Like Son, a picture that wastes Dudley Moore.
